In the Quiet: Somewhere to be Free

Somewhere To Be Free is the quiet side of my story — the searching, the longing for stillness after years of struggle. Written and produced long ago, it carries the weight of lived experience: depression, exhaustion, the aching hope for peace inside a turbulent mind.

Sung with tenderness by Zane Mercer, the song is stripped back: piano, cello, empty space. It’s not grand, it’s not loud — it’s fragile honesty. For me, it’s the low tide of bipolar — the silent, heavy moments where you cling to light you can’t quite see.

I Am Chaos is the opposite current — the manic high, the surge where everything feels possible, unstoppable. It’s not calm, it’s not safe — it’s fire. Written as my unapologetic ode to mania and delivered through Ash Chastain’s powerhouse voice, it embodies the wild side of bipolar: creativity at full tilt, omnipotent energy, nothing off-limits.

The sound is huge: rock-opera drama, cinematic grit, orchestral power. Think Queen colliding with Muse, sharpened with theatre. Every lyric is raw truth, every beat a strike of lightning.
