I’ve realised that curiosity has been the quiet thread connecting everything I’ve done. It has led me into photography, business, music, history, travel and countless unexpected adventures—each leaving behind its own lessons, stories and questions.
This is where I gather those moments — not as a biography or a portfolio, but as a personal collection of ideas, observations and experiences that have shaped the way I see the world.

The Jaguar That Turned More Heads Than I Ever Did
I’ve never been particularly good at keeping cars for very long.
Even as a young man I seemed to move from one to the next with surprising regularity. There was a Mini, then a Volkswagen (mercifully not for long), a Mini pickup, a Mini Cooper, a Ford Cortina, a white Triumph Spitfire and an MGB. Each reflected where I happened to be in life at the time, and each taught me something different about driving.
But none of them prepared me for my first Jaguar.
The seeds of that obsession had actually been planted much earlier.
When I was still in my late teens, I worked for George Kidd Motors in Royal Leamington Spa. One of my jobs was collecting new cars from the manufacturers and delivering them back to the dealership. Some mornings it would be Rover. Other mornings, if fortune happened to be smiling, it would be Jaguar.
The newly introduced XJ6 felt unlike anything else on British roads. It seemed to glide rather than drive, cornering with an effortless confidence that made every other saloon feel clumsy.
Somewhere between Browns Lane and the cinema, I fell hopelessly under Jaguar’s spell.
Much of this website reflects on the past. My current creative focus is Sessions on the Green®, an independent music and visual production studio creating original works for a global audience.

Doctor Pickering, I Presume?
One day, during one of my many visits to Alex’s surgery, I mentioned that I’d always been curious about what went on behind the swinging doors of an operating theatre.
“Come and help me,” he replied casually.
I laughed, assuming he was joking.
He wasn’t.
A few days later I found myself standing in the pre-operative area of Bentley Hospital, dressed in gown, cap and mask, convinced I looked like a surgeon despite not knowing a scalpel from a fish knife…
